Such permissions are inherited from the folder in which the file/folder is stored, and not set explicitly. To break the inheritance chain, you have to, in the Security Tab, click ‘Advanced’ in the ‘Advanced Security Settings’ box, then click Edit and finally clear ‘Include Inheritable Permissions From Objects Parent’. Note: On Mac, once you have placed the 'STEAM alias' folder on your main drive, you will need to rename it removing the word alias from the file, otherwise it will not work. You should now have a 'STEAM' folder on your main drive that is pointing to its actual location on your second drive.

The Spectrasonics User Account system allows quick access to your Spectrasonics products and information. This way, you'll have access to the latest instrument Updates, as well as the Authorization area, where you can authorize your computer to use your new instrument.
